iRobot manufactures robots that perform household cleaning tasks and that are available for purchase by the general public.
The most well-known of the products is the Roomba, which vacuums household rooms on autopilot. iRobot Roomba lifts dirt, dust, pet hair, cat litter, crumbs and other debris from your carpets and hard floors. It has powerful suction and rotating brushes, automatically navigates for best cleaning coverage, and cleans under and around furniture, into corners and along wall edges. It self-adjusts from carpets to hard floors and back again, and automatically avoids stairs, drop-offs and off-limit areas. It's simple to use - just press the clean button and Roomba does the rest.
Another product, iRobot Scooba, cleans hardwood and tile floors automatically. It uses a patented, 4-stage cleaning system to gently and efficiently remove up to 98 percent of bacteria from sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors. Scooba preps, washes, scrubs and squeegees hard floors, cleaning the entire area, under and around furniture and along wall and cabinet edges while automatically avoiding carpets, stairs and drop-offs. It preps, washes, scrubs and squeegees sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum floors, and knows where to clean and avoids rugs, carpets and cliffs. It cleans beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs and other hard-to-reach places and kills up to 98 percent of common household bacteria. (When used as directed, laboratory testing results indicate removal of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria after two passes of the Scooba floor washing robot. Individual results may vary.)
iRobot Verro cleans pools using a self-contained vacuum, pump and filter system to remove leaves, hair, sand, silt, pollen, algae and bacteria to clean surfaces and pool water. It is economical to use, reduces pool chemical consumption and reduces the run-time of your pool's filtration system. Verro is simple to use and requires no bulky hoses or booster pumps.
There are other home cleaning robots produced by iRobot, as well. Visit their Web site to learn more details.
